Corpus: Oblique cord

The oblique cord is a ligamentous structure located distally to the elbow joint.

The oblique cord extends from the ulna distally and laterally, just below the tuberosity of the radius. Its fibers run counter to those of the interosseous membrane. It limits the supination movement between the ulna and radius.

Distal to the oblique cord, there is a gap for the passage of the following structures:

• Posterior interosseous artery
• Posterior interosseous vein
• Posterior interosseous nerve
