Definition
The posterior interosseous vein is a vein of the forearm that drains into the brachial vein.
Anatomy
The posterior interosseous vein runs alongside the posterior interosseous artery — on the dorsal side of the interosseous membrane of the forearm along the abductor pollicis longus muscle. It receives blood from the muscles of the dorsal forearm.
