Corpus: Medial palpebral ligament
1. Definition
The medial palpebral ligament is a small band of connective tissue in the eye region.
2. Anatomy
The medial palpebral ligament runs from the tarsal plates of the eyelids to the posterior and anterior lacrimal crest and thus surrounds the lacrimal sac. The palpebral portion of the orbicularis oculi muscle originates from the medial palpebral ligament.
