Corpus: Deltoid fascia
1. Definition
The deltoid fascia is a dense connective tissue sheath that covers the deltoid muscle as its fascia.
2. Anatomy
The deltoid fascia transitions ventrally into the pectoral fascia, distally into the brachial fascia. Dorsally, it connects with the fasciae of the upper back muscles. Moreover, the fascial fibers are attached to the spine of the scapula, the clavicle and the acromion. Numerous septa extend from it, penetrating into the interior of the muscle.
