Corpus: Celiac lymph nodes
1. Anatomy
The celiac lymph nodes are preaortic, retroperitoneal lymph nodes located around the celiac trunk.
2. Function
These lymph nodes collect lymphatic fluid from the distal esophagus, greater omentum, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, stomach, spleen, and the superior and descending parts of the duodenum. The collected lymph is then transported to the cisterna chyli via the intestinal trunk.
