Corpus: Ulnar vein
2. Anatomy
The ulnar vein originates in the palm. It follows the ulnar artery as a usually paired companion vein and runs together with it and the ulnar nerve through the Guyon's canal. Further proximally, it joins with the radial vein in the cubital fossa to form the brachial vein.
3. Function
The ulnar vein directs venous blood from the medial half of the forearm and hand through the further arm veins to the right heart.
