Corpus: Proper palmar digital nerves
1. Definition
The proper palmar digital nerves are sensory nerve branches that supply the palmar side of the fingers. Their fibers mainly originate from the median nerve and to a lesser extent from the ulnar nerve.
2. Course
The proper palmar digital nerves arise from the common palmar digital nerves. They run as nerve pathways along the ulnar and radial sides of each finger. Together with the dorsal digital nerves of the hand, they provide the sensitivity of the fingers.
