Corpus: Posterior cord of brachial plexus
1. Definition
The posterior cord of the brachial plexus is the secondary dorsal cord of the redistributed branches from the brachial plexus.
2. Anatomy
The posterior cord is formed from the posterior divisions of all three trunks of the brachial plexus, containing fibers from spinal nerves C5 to T1. It runs posterior to the axillary artery and gives rise to the radial nerve, the axillary nerve, and the subscapular nerves.
