Definition
The posterior circumflex humeral vein accompanies the posterior circumflex humeral artery through the lateral axillary gap (lateral axillary hiatus). It provides venoud drainage to the lower neck sections as well as the upper arm area and drains into the axillary vein via the circumflex scapular vein.
