Corpus: Circumflex scapular vein
1. Definition
The circumflex scapular vein is a companion vein of the circumflex scapular artery, which passes through the medial axillary space. It receives the anterior circumflex humeral veins and posterior circumflex humeral veins as well as the thoracodorsal vein and drains into the axillary vein.
2. Function
The circumflex scapular vein drains, among other areas, the vicinity of the scapula and parts of the shoulder musculature.
