Definition
The palmar metacarpal arteries are branches from the terminal part of the radial artery or from the deep palmar arch, which supply the metacarpus.
Course
The palmar metacarpal arteries run along the palmar interossei muscles distally. They form anastomoses with the common palmar digital arteries from the superficial palmar arch and through perforating branches with the dorsal metacarpal arteries.
