Corpus: Medial compartment of thigh
1. Definition
The medial compartment of the thigh is the anatomical compartment that houses the adductor muscles of the thigh.
2. Anatomy
The medial compartment of the thigh is located dorsomedially to the medial intermuscular septum of the femur. Dorsolaterally, it borders the posterior compartment of the thigh. It contains the following muscles:
- Gracilis muscle
- Adductor longus muscle
- Adductor brevis muscle
- Adductor magnus muscle
- Pectineus muscle
