Corpus: Lateral compartment of leg

The lateral compartment of the leg is an anatomical compartment that houses the lateral group of lower leg muscles.

The lateral compartment of the leg is bordered by the following structures:

• Anterior: Anterior intermuscular septum and fascia cruris
• Posterior: Posterior intermuscular septum
• Medial: Fibula
• Lateral: Crural fascia

It contains the following muscles:

• Fibularis longus muscle
• Fibularis brevis muscle

It also contains the following nerve:

• Superficial fibular nerve
