Corpus: Internal thoracic vein
1. Definition
The internal thoracic vein is the accompanying vein of the internal thoracic artery.
2. Anatomy
The two internal thoracic veins run alongside the sternum behind the ribs. They receive blood from the superior epigastric veins and anterior intercostal veins, among other tributaries. The internal thoracic veins eventually drain into the brachiocephalic veins.
