1. Definition
The dorsal tarsometatarsal ligaments are taut connective tissue fibers on the sole of the foot that run from the tarsal bones (cuneiform and cuboid bones) longitudinally and transversely to the bases of the metatarsal bones.
2. Function
The dorsal tarsometatarsal ligaments reinforce the tarsometatarsal joint.
