Corpus: Calcaneofibular ligament
1. Definition
The calcaneofibular ligament is a narrow, strong ligament that is part of the ligamentous structure of the ankle joint.
2. Anatomy
The calcaneofibular ligament extends from the apex of the lateral malleolus, running backward and downward to a tubercle on the lateral side of the calcaneus. It is covered by the tendons of the fibularis longus and fibularis brevis muscles.
