Corpus: Anular ligament of radius

The annular ligament of radius is a ring-shaped, taut band that is overlying cartilage on the inner side. It originates from the radial notch of the ulna and holds the head of the radius (caput radii) in position.

The annular ligament of radius is considered part of the joint capsule of the elbow joint. Together with the head of the radius and the radial notch of the ulna, it forms the proximal radioulnar joint allowing rotation in the humeroradial joint.
