Corpus: Anterior ethmoidal artery
1. Definition
The anterior ethmoidal artery is a branch of the ophthalmic artery. It travels through the anterior ethmoidal foramen, moving from the orbit into the cranial cavity.

2. Course
The anterior ethmoidal artery travels alongside the anterior ethmoidal nerve and supplies blood to the anterior and middle ethmoidal air cells. Once it re-enters the cranial cavity, it branches into the anterior meningeal artery, which supplies the dura mater. Its nasal branches pass through a slit on the side of the crista galli into the nasal cavity, where they supply the nasal mucosa of the nasal septum and the lateral wall of the nasal cavity. A terminal branch extends to the bridge of the nose.
