Corpus: Vesical venous plexus
1. Definition
The vesical venous plexus is a venous plexus that surrounds the lower portion of the urinary bladder and drains into the internal iliac vein via multiple connecting veins.
2. Anatomy
In men, the vesical venous plexus communicates with the prostatic venous plexus. Due to their close anatomical connection, both venous plexuses are collectively referred to as the vesicoprostatic venous plexus.
