Corpus: Superior palpebral arch
1. Definition
The superior palpebral arch is an arterial arch in the upper eyelid that connects the medial superior palpebral artery and the lateral superior palpebral artery (from the lacrimal artery) in the upper eyelid.
2. Course
The superior palpebral artery lies in front of the superior tarsus and behind the orbicularis oculi muscle. There is a similar vascular arch in the lower eyelid, the inferior palpebral artery.
