Corpus: Oblique muscle of auricle
1. Definition
The obliquus auriculae muscle is a small, transverse muscle band located on the lateral surface of the auricle (outer ear).
2. Anatomy
The obliquus auriculae muscle is part of the ear muscles but has no significant functional role in humans. It extends from the eminentia fossae triangularis to the eminentia conchae and is innervated by the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII).
