Corpus: Median antebrachial vein
Definition
The median antebrachial vein is a vein on the forearm that occurs inconsistently and is located between the cephalic vein and the basilic vein.
Anatomy
The median antebrachial vein rises proximally from the carpus on the ulnar half of the anterior surface of the forearm. It drains into the basilic vein or the median cubital vein.
Function
The median antebrachial vein drains venous blood from the volar venous plexus of the hand.
