1. Definition
The medial frontobasal artery is a branch of the M2 segment of the anterior cerebral artery (ACA).

2. Anatomy
The medial frontobasal artery runs anteriorly on the medial and inferior side of the frontal lobe. Its branches bifurcate in the area of the orbital gyrus and the inferior frontal gyrus.
3. Function
The artery supplies the medial orbitofrontal areas of the cerebral cortex.
