Corpus: Inferior palpebral arch
1. Definition
The inferior palpebral arch is an arterial vascular arch of the lower eyelid that connects the medial inferior palpebral artery and the lateral inferior palpebral artery (from the lacrimal artery).
2. Course
The inferior palpebral artery lies anterior to the inferior tarsus and posterior to the orbicularis oculi muscle. The vascular arch runs close to the edge of the eyelid. There is a similar vascular arch in the upper eyelid, known as the superior palpebral arch.
