1. Definition
The abdominal aortic plexus is a vegetative nerve plexus that surrounds the abdominal aorta.
2. Anatomy
The abdominal aortic plexus is a continuation of the thoracic aortic plexus, extending from the aortic hiatus of the diaphragm to the aortic bifurcation. Below the aortic bifurcation, it continues as the superior hypogastric plexus and the paired iliac plexuses.
