Corpus: Major arterial circle of iris: Unterschied zwischen den Versionen

The major arterial circle of the iris is a ring-shaped, arterial vascular plexus at the anterior edge of the ciliary body, formed by anastomoses of the anterior ciliary arteries and the posterior long arteries.

Numerous smaller vascular branches branch off from the major arterial circle of the iris in the tissue of the iris and run to the inner edge of the iris (pupil), where they form the smaller minor iris arterial circle. The greater iridoscleral artery supplies the iris, the ciliary body and the anterior choroid.
