Corpus: Splenic plexus
1. Definition
The splenic plexus is an autonomic nerve plexus located around the splenic artery and its branches. It primarily consists of sympathetic fibres originating from the celiac plexus. The presence of parasympathetic fibers in the plexus, responsible for innervating the spleen, remains a topic of debate.[1]
