Corpus: Right fibrous trigone

The trigonum fibrosum dextrum is a structure belonging to the cardiac skeleton and consisting of connective tissue, which serves to mechanically and electrically separate the atrium and ventricle of the heart.

The trigonum fibrosum dextrum stretches between the right edge of the annulus fibrosus sinister, the left edge of the annulus fibrosus dexter and the dorsal edge of the annulus aortae.

The trigonum fibrosum dextrum is pierced by the His bundle. This site forms the only electrical connection between the atrium and the ventricle and is therefore of central importance for conduction.
