Corpus: Deep external pudendal vein
1. Definition
The deep external pudendal veins are superficial veins in the pelvic region that accompany the arteries of the same name and drain venous blood from the pubic area.
2. Anatomy
There are two main external pudendal veins:
- Superficial external pudendal vein
- Deep external pudendal vein
Both veins typically drain into the great saphenous vein near the saphenous hiatus, though they also may drain directly into the femoral vein.
