Corpus: Cerebellar veins

The cerebellar veins comprises six groups of veins that drain the cerebellum.

The cerebellar veins include:

• Inferior cerebellar veins
• superior cerebellar veins
• Vena superior vermis
• Vena inferior vermis
• Precentral cerebellar vein
• Petrosal vein

The cerebellar veins run independently of the cerebellar arteries and predominantly in a sagittal direction. The cerebellar veins anastomose with each other so that the direction of flow can change in the event of occlusion. All outflows lie below the tentorium cerebelli (infratentorial).
