Organ system

An organ system is a group of organs which works functional together.


The classification of the human body in different organ systems is the basis for the systematic anatomy. There the different organ systems are:

For example the digestive system includes all organs, which are involved in ingestion and digestion. That means everything from mouth to anus and all glands involved eg liver or pancreas. The different organ systems are not completely separated from each other but a way to organize structures or organs which work closely together.
