Diabetic angiopathy is a vascular complication of Diabetes mellitus. It is associated with calcification of the media of larger arteries with major effects in the microcirculation.
Diabetic angiopathy is a collective term for conditions specific to the diabetic state. Its severity is related to its duration more than to patient's age.
