1 Definition

The bronchial tree refers to the totality of the treelike branching system connecting the bronchia and bronchioles.

2 Anatomy

A distinction is made between the right and left bronchial tree. The trunk forms each of the right and left main bronchus (bronchus primcipalis). Both bronchial trees start at the bifurcation of the trachea (trachea) and are presented as follows:
