Regio urogenitalis

1 Definition

The regio urogenitalis is a body region in the area of the pelvic outlet and includes the genitals.

2 Anatomy

The region urogenitalis lies ventral of the regio analis (anal region) in the area between the pubic symphysis and both rami ossis pubi. In men it includes the scrotum and the penis. In women it includes the vulva, labia majora pudenda, labia minora pudenda, the clitoris and the vestibulum vaginae (vaginal vestibule) and its glands.
