Hand muscles

1 Definition

The hand muscles are the short skeletal muscles, which are located in the area of ​​hand. When looking at the muscles of the hand, a distinction is made between: the thenar musculature located radially to the ball of the thumb; the ulnar hypothenar musculature of the balls of the little finger; and the muscles of the palm.

The bones of the hand, linked to one another via joints, are also able to be moved by the forearm muscles.
