GD, also referred to as SPINA-GD, is an abbreviation for "Gain of deiodinases" and a mathematical symbol for the calculated sum activity of peripheral 5'-deiodinases.

2 Clinical significance

Isotope investigations demonstrated SPINA-GD to correlate with the conversion rate of T4 to T3 in slow tissue pools[1]

3 Reference range

20 - 40 nmol/sec.
