Right fibrous ring

German: Anulus fibrosus dexter

1 Definition

The right fibrous ring is a collagenous fibre ring that belongs to the fibrous rings. It spans the right atrioventricular ostium and delimits this in the valve plane or the plane of the cardiac skeleton.

2 Anatomy

The right fibrous ring serves as a fixed point of suspension of the atrioventricular valve of the tricuspid valve. Ventrally, it is bordered by the aortic ring, and on the left side, it is bordered by the right fibrous trigone.
