1 Definition

The 'regio perinealis is an anatomical region, in the area of the pelvic outlet and includes the genitals, perineum and anus.

2 Anatomy

The region perinealis is a rhombical area, which lies between pubic symphysis, lower rami ossis pubis, both tubera ischiadica, the ligament sacrotuberalia and the coccyx. Topographically this region is classified in regio urogenitalis and regio analis (anal region).
