Pronation

1 Definition

The term pronation is used in anatomical terms to describe specific motion sequences of hands and feed.

2 Pronation of the hand

Pronation is the rotator movement of the forearm (inward) during which the side of the thumb rotates medial and the back of the hand anteriorly. Following muscles of the forearm are involved:

Memory hook: Pronation is the position of the hand one have while cutting bread.

3 Pronation of the foot

Pronation is the evaluation of the lateral side of the foot and at the same time decline of the medial side ie the bending of the ankle inwardly. Following muscles are involved in this movement:
