Definition

The median-sagittal slice designates in fields of cross-section anatomy a sagittal cut or slice right through the medial plane of the body respectively of an organ.

Example: A median-sagittal slice of the brain proceeds regarding the alignment of the medial longitudinal fissure of the brain centrally through the brain generating a symmetrical separation of the cerebral hemispheres.
