1 Definition

The lateral supracondlyar ridge (Linea supracondylaris lateralis) is a prominent, rough margin which occurs above the lateral condyle of the femur and the humerus.

2 Lateral supracondylar line of the femur

Referring to the femur, the lateral supracondylar line represents a prominent border in the bone which is located in the lower, lateral part of the femur. It serves as origin for the plantaris muscle (Musculus plantaris).

3 Lateral supracondylar line of the humerus

Relating to the humerus, the lateral supracondylar line is presented by a prominent border in the bone which is located in the lower, lateral part of the humerus. It serves as origin for the following muscles:
