Definition
The inferior transverse scapular ligament is an inconsistently present ligament that extends from the lateral border of the scapular spine to the dorsal border of the glenoid cavity.
Anatomy
The inferior transverse scapular ligament forms an arch, under which the suprascapular artery and the corresponding suprascapular nerve pass through the spinoglenoid notch into the infraspinous fossa.
